Personal Intent Statement
I will incorporate my previous leadership experience through service and personal endeavors into my journey as an entry-level practitioner. I hope to improve my ability to challenge the process and break down barriers through advocacy, courage, and integrity. I aim to build my confidence through being vulnerable as a leader in order to identify areas of growth as an effective leader. In this process, I will allow myself to courageously face my own shame and show up for what is most important in the lives of my future clients. By showing up for others, I hope to advocate for their quality of life and to help restore or create meaning through their daily occupations, regardless of the setting in which I work. I want to be a strong advocate for my future clients through fostering effective therapeutic relationships and through practicing veracity and fidelity. I hope to enable other to grow and be empowered on their own personal and professional journeys. I want to embody effective communication and collaboration with coworkers and individuals in which I work alongside. Through collaboration, I will elicit a strong sense of community and personal empowerment. In building my own community of practice, I aim to advance my own clinical skillset and expertise within evidence-based practice. With the lens of a servant leader as my guide, I hope to enable others to act in the best interest of those most in need.
